Our Story

Between us, we've spent decades on both sides of the product development equation — as merchants, as innovators, as engineers, and as brand builders. Rene spent 18 years rising through the ranks at Brookstone, from store floor to OVP/DMM, before becoming the Chief Merchandising Officer who grew the Sharper Image brand from $225M to over $800M in annual retail sales. David spent a decade directing merchandising and product development from Hong Kong for Brookstone's Asia Division before leading R&D and eventually VP of Product Development for Sharper Image at Three-Sixty Group.

We built products together. We launched them together. We earned NPD #1 rankings together. Along the way, David spent a decade on the ground in Hong Kong and across Asia, building the factory relationships and sourcing infrastructure that now underpins every HALO engagement. And we developed a shared point of view: most brands fail at retail not because their product is bad, but because no one connected the product strategy to the commercial reality of the shelf.
